Custom Commissions
How do I request a custom commission?
I'd love to create something special just for you! The easiest way to get started is to reach out through my Contact page or send me an email. Share a little about what you have in mind — the subject, any reference photos, your preferred size, and any special details that matter to you. I'll get back to you within 1–2 business days to talk through the details and get you a quote.
What can I commission?
I create original oil paintings, personalized ornaments, and portraits for special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, and family milestones. If you have something unique in mind, just ask — I love a creative challenge!
What sizes and price ranges are available?
Every commission is priced based on size, complexity, and materials. Here's a general guide to help you plan:
- Small originals (up to 8"×10"): starting around $80
- Medium originals (11"×14" to 16"×20"): typically $120–$180
- Large originals (18"×24" and up): typically $200–$250+
- Ornaments & small personalized pieces: starting around $25–$45

What is the typical turnaround time?
Turnaround time depends on the piece and my current commission queue. As a general guide:
- Small pieces & ornaments: 1–2 weeks
- Medium paintings & sneakers: 2–4 weeks
- Large or complex originals: 4–6 weeks
I'll give you an estimated completion date when we confirm your commission. If you have a specific deadline (like a wedding or birthday), please let me know upfront and I'll do my best to accommodate you!
Do you require a deposit?
Yes — a 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot in my commission queue. The remaining balance is due before your artwork ships. Payment details will be shared when we confirm your order.
Will I get to see progress photos?
Absolutely! I love sharing the process. I'll send you progress updates along the way so you can see your piece coming to life, and I welcome your feedback before the piece is finished.
Shipping & Packaging
Do original paintings ship framed or unframed?
Original paintings ship unframed unless otherwise arranged. Shipping unframed keeps your artwork safer in transit and gives you the freedom to choose a frame that fits your home's style perfectly.
How do you protect artwork during shipping?
Your art is precious — I treat it that way! Every piece is carefully wrapped with acid-free tissue, padded with bubble wrap, and packed in a sturdy double-walled box. For larger originals, I use rigid foam inserts or crating as needed. I want your artwork to arrive in the same beautiful condition it left my studio.
Do you offer shipping insurance or tracking?
Yes! All orders ship with tracking, and I insure originals and higher-value pieces for their full value. You'll receive your tracking number as soon as your order ships. If anything goes wrong in transit, please contact me right away and I'll work to make it right.
Do you ship internationally?
I currently ship within the US. For international inquiries, please reach out and I'll let you know if I can accommodate your location. Please note that international buyers are responsible for any customs fees or import duties.

Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy for custom commissions?
Because every commission is made-to-order just for you, custom pieces are non-refundable once work has begun. That's why I invest time upfront making sure we're completely aligned before I start painting — I want you to love what you receive!
If there's ever an issue with your order (damage in shipping, an error on my end, etc.), please contact me and I will do everything I can to make it right.
